Flamingo South Beach Proposed Renovations

Big things are underway at Flamingo South Beach!  As the South Tower renovations are winding down, a new massive renovation is being proposed for the North and Central Towers. Some highlights of the plan include a complete rebuild of the North Tower and a new restaurant and retail shops in the Central Tower. The Miami Beach Design Board will be meeting on October 3^rd to review the proposed Flamingo South Beach improvements from the Owner Aimco and designer Stantec.  So what do the planned improvements look like?

The North Tower Proposed Improvements

The Flamingo North Tower proposed plans are for a complete overhaul to renovate and restructure all the existing units.  The new and improved architectural plans for the North Tower will include larger floor plans and reduction in the total number of units. The new Larger Floor plans will Range from 655 square feet to 1,112 square feet. This will absorb and eliminate 168 units bringing the new total down to 446 Units.

Central Tower Proposed Improvements

• Renovation of Skybridge
• 185 Seat Restaurant
• New corridor to access package room and dog daycare
• New corridor linking north tower lobby to central tower
• New Retail Space

Garage, Lobby, and Courtyard Area Proposed Improvements

• New Drop Off/ Pickup Area for Ride Sharing
• New Architectural Signage and Screening for Garage Area
• Existing basketball court in central tower garage to be converted to additional parking spaces
• New Bicycle Parking for Short Term (12 Spaces) and Long-Term Spots (100)
• New Water Features and Landscaping for the Courtyard
